PECO to Close High Street at Night Next Week for Utility Improvement in West Chester Borough
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning to close High Street at two locations next week in West Chester Borough, Chester County for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, February 17, and Tuesday, February 18, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Route 100 (High Street) will be closed and detoured between Market Street and Gay Street (Route 3). During the closure, northbound High Street motorists will use Market Street, Walnut Street and Gay Street (Route 3). Southbound High Street motorists will use Gay Street (Route 3), Church Street and Market Street; and
- Wednesday, February 19, and Thursday, February 20, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, High Street will be closed and detoured between Gay Street (Route 3) and Chestnut Street. During the closure, northbound High Street motorists will use Market Street, Walnut Street and Chestnut Street. Southbound High Street motorists will use Chestnut Street, Church Street and Market Street.
Local access will be maintained during this nightly closure. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
