I-76, I-95, U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia
King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on Interstate 76, Interstate 95 and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) for bridge inspections in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, April 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on the eastbound I-76 ramp to U.S. 1 North (Roosevelt Boulevard) interchange;
• Tuesday, April 14, through Friday, April 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, right and left lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 between I-76/Route 291 and Route 611(Broad Street)/Pattison Avenue interchanges;
• Thursday, April 16, from 9 AM to 12:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Byberry Road and Hornig Road;
• Thursday, April 16, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Byberry Road and Hornig Road;
• Friday, April 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between Montgomery Drive/Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and U.S. 1 South/City Avenue interchanges;
• Friday, April 17, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 between U.S. 1 North/Roosevelt Boulevard and Montgomery Drive/Martin Luther King Jr. Drive interchanges; and
• Friday, April 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 between South Street and 28th Street interchanges;
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Normal highway and bridge construction projects in Pennsylvania remain paused as part of the commonwealth's efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. These inspections are part of critical work that continues to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
