Pennsylvania American Water to Close Route 372 (Valley Road) Weekdays for Sewer Replacement in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA – Pennsylvania American Water is scheduled to close Route 372 (Valley Road) between Route 82 (Strode Avenue/Doe Run Road) and Strasburg Road in Valley and Sadsbury townships and the City of Coatesville, Chester County, beginning Monday, April 27, for sewer replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. Weather permitting, the closure will be in place Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM through late December 2020.

During construction, Route 372 (Valley Road) through traffic will be directed to use Route 82 (Strode Avenue/Doe Run Road) and Strasburg Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone while the contractor closes small sections of the highway. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.

Pennsylvania American Water will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
