Bridge Deck Repairs Scheduled on Strickersville Road in Elk, Franklin Townships
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge deck repair is scheduled on the bridge carrying Strickersville Road over Big Elk Creek in Elk and Franklin townships, Chester County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, November 4, through Friday, November 15, Strickersville Road will be closed 24/7 between Route 841 (Chesterville Road) and Mount Olive Road. During the closure, motorists are directed to use Route 841 (Chesterville Road), Route 896 (New London Road), and Appleton Road.
Built in 1938, the Strickersville bridge over Big Elk Creek carries approximately 725 vehicles, daily.
