Aqua Pennsylvania to Close Old Welsh Road Weekdays in Abington Township,
Montgomery County for Water Main Installation

Aqua Pennsylvania is scheduled to close Old Welsh Road between
Fitzwatertown
Road and Lukens Avenue in Abington Township, Montgomery County, beginning
Wednesday, July 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for water main installation,
the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced. The
weekday closure of Old Welsh Road will be in effect through the end of
December.
During construction, Old Welsh Road through traffic will be detoured over
Fitzwatertown Road, Route 63 (Welsh Road/Moreland Road) and Route 611 (Old
York
Road). Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the
area.
Aqua Pennsylvania will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy
Permit.
