This is an important message from ReadyPhiladelphia. ReadyDNC Daily Digest: July 26, 2016 Weather - Today: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Light northwest wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
- Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. The Excessive Heat Watch expired Monday night. This does not mean the end of the heat. Temperatures in the 90's and high Heat Index Values forecast through Friday.

Public Safety - The forecast calls for sun with a high near 97. Avoid prolonged exposure to sun if you can.
- Reschedule outdoor work if you can. If you can't, schedule breaks in shade or air-conditioning.
- If you do not live in an air-conditioned environment, open windows and use fans.
- Check on your neighbors and family who are elderly, vulnerable or have health conditions. They are more susceptible to heat-related health illnesses.
- If you are at FDR Park and need medical attention, there are 2 EMS tents located on the North and South end of the park. There are also two misting tents and bottled water available in the park.
- Call 9-1-1 with emergencies. Call 3-1-1 with non-emergencies. 311 has extended hours, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Thursday. 311 also has an app and they are active on twitter: @Philly311
Traffic - PennDOT lane restrictions will remain in effect through the DNC for portions of I-95 and I-676. This is so Pennsylvania State Police can enforce the five-ton truck ban. Exit 17 (Broad Street/ Route 11) of I-95 North and South will remain closed throughout the week for the DNC. Follow marked detour routes. - Public assembly and marches primarily occur on Broad St south of City Hall to the Stadium Complex and Market Street between 5th and 15th Streets. Spontaneous marches can happen anywhere. Confirmed march scheduled for 2pm originating in North Philadelphia at Broad and Diamond and ending at FDR Park. - Parking restricted in the area surrounding the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Consider SEPTA to travel to Center City destinations.
- SEPTA's website, www.septa.org, has information on possible delays and detours.
- Ban on median parking in effect for parking on South Broad between Washington and Packer Avenues. Remains in effect through July 29th – call 215-686-SNOW if your car is towed.
- Pattison Avenue closed from 20th to 7th Sts and Broad St from packer to the Terminal.
