I-95 Overnight Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week at Betsy Ross Bridge
Interchange in Philadelphia

Intermittent single and double lane closures are scheduled on northbound
and
southbound Interstate 95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue
Interchange
in Philadelphia on Wednesday, October 4, through Friday, October 6, from
8:00
PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for milling and paving, line painting
and
barrier removal operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT) announced today.
In addition, the following restrictions will be in place at night next week
on
several of the interchange's ramps. The schedule is:
• Monday, October 2, and Tuesday, October 3, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to southbound I-95 will be
reduced from two-lanes-to-one for line striping;
• Monday, October 2, and Tuesday, October 3, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, the ramp from southbound I-95 to Aramingo Avenue will be
reduced periodically from two-lanes-to-one for line striping; and
• Monday, October 2, through Wednesday, October 4, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM
the
following morning, the ramp from the westbound Betsy Ross Bridge to
northbound
and southbound I-95 will be reduced periodically from two-lanes-to-one for
installation of overhead signs.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 through the
work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of the $160.2 million project to rebuild ramps and improve
connections between I-95, the Betsy Ross Bridge and Aramingo Avenue.
