Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for
Maintenance Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways for
maintenance operations in the Philadelphia region, the Pennsylvania
Department
of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Saturday, September 16, from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Greenwood Avenue is
scheduled to close between Wartman Road and Ridge Pike/Main Street in
Perkiomen
and Upper Providence townships, Montgomery County, for pipe replacement.
During
construction, Greenwood Avenue motorists will be detoured over Wartman
Road,
Township Line Road and Ridge Pike/Main Street. Local access will be
maintained
up to the construction zone;
• Monday, September 18, through Thursday, September 21, from 9:00 AM to
3:00
PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 from just east
of
the Hanover Street to Route 100 interchanges in North Coventry Township,
Montgomery County;
• Monday, September 18, through Friday, September 22, from 7:00 AM to 4:00
PM,
lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 82 (Manor Road)
between
U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and Route 401 (Conestoga Road) in West Brandywine
and
West Nantmeal townships, Chester County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
