PennDOT - District 6 News: U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) Among Several State Highways to Be Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspection in Bucks County

U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) Among Several State Highways to Be Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspection in Bucks County

King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on several state highways next week in Bucks County, including U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike), for bridge inspection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Tuesday, October 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Park Road between Deer Run Road and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Bedminster and Nockamixon townships;
  • Wednesday, October 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on Route 32 (River Road) between Stagecoach Road and Tinicum Creek Road in Tinicum Township;
  • Thursday, October 18, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) between Bensalem Boulevard and Cedar Avenue in Bensalem and Bristol townships;
  • Thursday, October 18, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) between Cedar Avenue and Bensalem Boulevard in Bensalem and Bristol townships; and
  • Friday, October 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on Brownsville Road between Creek Road and Periwinkle Avenue in Lower Southampton and Middletown townships.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
