PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO to Restrict Route 3, Route 73 and Route 252 for Utility Improvements in Delaware and Montgomery Counties

PECO to Restrict Route 3, Route 73 and Route 252 for Utility Improvements in Delaware and Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning lane restrictions next week on Route 3 (West Chester Pike, Route 73 (Township Line Road) and Route 252 (Newtown Road) in Delaware and Montgomery counties, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for utility installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21 on Route 252 (Newtown Road) between Sawmill Road and St. David's Road in Newtown Township, Delaware County;
  • Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24 on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Ann Road and Latches Road in Marple Township, Delaware County;
  • Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24 on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Garden Road and Malin Road in Marple Township, Delaware County;
  • Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24 on Route 73 (Township Line Road) between New 2nd Street and Thomson Road in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County; and
  • Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24, on Route 73 (Township Line Road) between Holme Avenue and Rolling Hill Road in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
