Construction Planned Next Week on U.S. 1 in Bensalem, Middletown Townships
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) construction is planned next week on U.S. 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships under PennDOT's $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bucks County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, February 24, through Thursday, February 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Rockhill Drive and Fairhill Avenue for the removal of temporary ITS equipment.
The work is part of PennDOT's U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
