PennDOT Announces Interstate Ramp Closures for Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Parade and Celebration

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that several travel restrictions will be in place on Friday, February 14, for the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl parade and celebration.

Motorists are advised of the following ramp closures on Friday, February 14, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM:

Additionally, the Philadelphia Police Department will be closing the northbound and southbound I-95 ramps to Broad Street (Route 611) sometime after 10:30 AM until approximately 12:00 PM to accommodate the start of the parade.

During the parade and celebration, motorists are also advised that the ramp from eastbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) to Spring Garden Street will be available for right turns only.

Electronic message boards will be utilized on all regional interstate highways to alert motorists about the travel restrictions and closures, which were coordinated with the City of Philadelphia, SEPTA, and other transportation agencies across the region.

Motorists are advised to avoid the closure areas because significant backups will occur.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
