PECO Utility Improvement to Close Route 29 (State Road) in Schuylkill Township
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on Route 29 (State Road) in Schuylkill Township, Chester County, beginning Monday, March 10.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, March 10, through Friday, May 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 29 (State Road) will be closed and detoured weekdays between Pothouse Road and Charlestown Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Pothouse Road, White Horse Road, and Route 29 (Morehall Road).
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
