Utility Construction to Close Milnor Street in Northeast Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that utility construction will close Milnor Street in Northeast Philadelphia, beginning Monday night, March 3.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

During the closure, northbound motorists will be directed to use Longshore Avenue, State Road, and Bleigh Avenue. Southbound motorists will be directed to use Bleigh Avenue, State Road, and New State Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
