Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Guide Rail Repairs in Philadelphia
and Delaware County

Lane closures are scheduled next week on Interstate 95, Interstate 476 and
U.S.
1 (Media Bypass) in Philadelphia and Delaware County, for guide rail
repair,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• From 10:00 PM Wednesday, May 3, to 12:00 AM, Thursday, May 4, the right
lane
is scheduled to close on northbound I-95 between the Delaware state line
and
Route 452 (Market Street) in Upper Chichester and Lower Chichester
townships,
Delaware County;
• Thursday, May 4, from 12:00 AM to 2:30 AM, the right lane is scheduled to
close on northbound I-95 between Kerlin Street and Route 352 (Edgmont
Avenue/Avenue of the States) in the City of Chester, Delaware County;
• Thursday, May 4, from 2:30 AM to 5:00 AM, the right lane is scheduled to
close on northbound I-95 between the I-476 and Ridley Park interchanges in
Ridley Township, Delaware County;
• Thursday, May 4, and Friday, May 5, from 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM, the left
lane
is scheduled to close on southbound I-95 between Bridge Street and
Allegheny
Avenue in Philadelphia;
• From 10:00 PM Thursday, May 4, to 12:00 AM, Friday, May 5, the right lane
is
scheduled to close on southbound U.S. 1 (Media Bypass) between Route 252
(Providence Road) and U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) in Upper Providence and
Middletown townships, Delaware County;
• Friday, May 5, from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM, the left lane is scheduled to
close
on southbound U.S. 1 (Media Bypass) between Route 252 (Providence Road) and
U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) in Upper Providence and Middletown townships,
Delaware
County; and
• Friday, May 5, from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM, the left lane is scheduled to
close
on northbound I-476 between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Route 3 (West
Chester
Pike) in Marple Township, Delaware County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work
zones. The contractor's schedule is weather dependent.
