Travel Restrictions Scheduled on I-95 and I-76 for Bridge Inspections in
the Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 95 and Interstate 76 in
Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware counties for bridge inspections, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, April 10, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on southbound I-95 between Packer Avenue and Broad Street in
Philadelphia;
• Monday, April 10, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled to
close on northbound I-95 between Broad Street and Packer Avenue in
Philadelphia;
• Monday, April 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close on eastbound I-76 between the Interstate 476 and Belmont Avenue
interchanges in West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township,
Montgomery
County;
• Tuesday, April 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on westbound I-76 between the Gladwyne and I-476 interchanges in
Lower
Merion Township and West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County;
• Tuesday, April 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on southbound I-95 between I-476 and Route 322 (Commodore Barry
Bridge)
in the city of Chester, Delaware County; and
• Thursday, April 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on northbound I-95 between the Route 320/352 and I-476 interchanges
in
the city of Chester, Delaware County.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
The schedules are dependent on the weather.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
