Philadelphia Water Department to Close Wissahickon Avenue in Philadelphia
for Utility Installation

The Philadelphia Water Department is scheduled to close northbound
Wissahickon
Avenue between Roberts Avenue and Midvale Avenue in Philadelphia beginning
Wednesday, April 26, for utility installation, the Pennsylvania Department
of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. The closure will be in effect
through
early June.
During construction, northbound Wissahickon Avenue motorists will be
detoured
over Roberts Avenue, Fox Street and Midvale Avenue.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area.
The
work schedule is dependent on the weather.
Philadelphia Water Department will complete the project under a PennDOT
Highway
Occupancy Permit.
