Travel Restrictions Scheduled on I-476 for Bridge Inspections in Montgomery
County

Travel restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 476 in Montgomery County
for
bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)

announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, April 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to

close on southbound I-476 between the Ridge Pike and I-76 interchanges in
Plymouth Township and West Conshohocken Borough;
• Tuesday, April 18, and Wednesday, April 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the
left
lane is scheduled to close on northbound I-476 between the I-76 and Ridge
Pike
interchanges in West Conshohocken Borough and Plymouth Township;
• Thursday, April 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close eastbound on Fayette Street between Route 23 (Front Street) and West
Elm
Street in West Conshohocken and Conshohocken boroughs; and
• Friday, April 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to

close westbound on Fayette Street between West Elm Street and Route 23
(Front
Street) in Conshohocken and West Conshohocken boroughs.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
The schedules are dependent on the weather.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
