Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Three State Highways for Bridge
Inspections in Delaware, Chester and Montgomery Counties

Travel restrictions are scheduled on Route 320 (Chester Road) in Delaware
County, U.S. 202 in Chester County and Interstate 76 in Montgomery County,
for
bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled in
both directions on Route 320 (Chester Road) between College Avenue and
Rutgers
Avenue in Swarthmore Borough, Delaware County;
• Tuesday, April 25, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on southbound U.S. 202 between the Route 252 South/Paoli and Route 29
North/Great Valley interchanges in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County;
• Tuesday, April 25, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled
to
close on northbound U.S. 202 between the Route 252 South/Paoli and Valley
Forge
Road interchanges in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County;
• Monday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close
on eastbound I-76 between the Belmont Avenue/Green Lane and City Avenue
interchanges in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County; and
• Tuesday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close
on westbound I-76 between the City Avenue and Belmont Avenue/Green Lane
interchanges in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
The schedules are dependent on the weather.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
