Weekday Lane Restrictions Scheduled on New Second Street for Utility
Improvements in Cheltenham Township

Cheltenham Township Authority is planning weekday lane restrictions and two
weekend closures on New Second Street in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery
County
for utility installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, April 2, through Friday, April 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled weekdays on New Second Street between Tookany
Creek
Parkway and Kingston Road; and
• Saturday, April 7, Sunday, April 8, Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April
15,
from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, New Second Street is scheduled to close between
Tookany Creek Parkway and Kingston Road. During the closure, New Second
Street
motorists will be detoured over Wetherill Road and Kingston Road.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
Cheltenham Township Authority will complete this project under a PennDOT
Highway Occupancy Permit.
