I-95, I-76, I-476 Among Several Highways Restricted Next Week for Overhead
Sign Inspections in the Philadelphia Region

Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways and
interstates
including Interstate 95, Interstate 76, Interstate 476, and U.S. 1
(Roosevelt
Boulevard Extension) in Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties for
overhead sign inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, May 7, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a double right lane closure is
scheduled on westbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Route 352 (New
Middletown Road) and U.S. 1 (Media Bypass) in Middletown Township, Delaware
County;
• Monday, May 7, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
North
Gulph Road between Village Drive and Mall Boulevard in Upper Merion
Township,
Montgomery County;
• Monday, May 7, and Tuesday May 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures
are
scheduled in both directions on I-476 between the U.S. 1 and
Media/Swarthmore
interchanges in Nether Providence, Delaware County;
• Tuesday, May 8, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
northbound Route 309 between Highland Avenue and the Pennsylvania Turnpike
in
Upper Dublin Township, Montgomery County;
• Tuesday, May 8, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on
the ramp from northbound Route 309 to the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Upper
Dublin
Township, Montgomery County;
• Wednesday, May 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in
both directions on U.S. 13 (9th Street) between Engle Street and Edwards
Street
in Chester Township, Delaware County;
• Wednesday, May 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in
both directions on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard Extension)
between
Wissahickon Avenue and I-76 in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, May 9, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled
on
Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between Virginia Drive and Susquehanna Road in
Upper
Dublin Township, Montgomery County;
• Thursday, May 10, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
Race Street between 7th Street and 6th Street in Philadelphia;
• Thursday, May 10, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on Walnut Street between 23rd Street and Schuylkill Avenue in Philadelphia;
• Thursday, May 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
southbound I-95 between just south of the Chichester Avenue Interchange in
Upper Chichester Township, Delaware County;
• Friday, May 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
southbound I-95 between the U.S. 322 and Market Street interchanges in
Chester
Township, Delaware County;
• Saturday, May 12, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closures are scheduled
on
southbound I-95 between the I-476 and Market Street interchanges in Chester
Township, Delaware County;
• Saturday, May 12, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
westbound I-76 between the Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive and Belmont
Avenue/Green
Lane interchanges in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery
County;
and
• Sunday, May 13, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
I-95
between the Market Street and Kerlin Street interchanges in Chester
Township,
Delaware County.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
