Closed Due to Flood Damage

5/18/2018-KING OF PRUSSIA

The bridge carrying Runnymede Road/White Horse Road over Doe Run in
Londonderry
and Highland townships, Chester County is closed due to floodwater damage
sustained from recent storms, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation

(PennDOT) announced today.

The single span steel I-beam bridge will remain closed while PennDOT
maintenance crews repair the damage. Weather permitting, the bridge is
expected
to reopen later this month.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use White Horse Road,
Derry
Meeting Road, Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike), Route 10 (Limestone Road),
Gumtree
Road and Friends Meetinghouse Road.

The Runnymede Road/White Horse Road bridge was originally built in 1934.
The
single-span bridge is 22 feet long, 18 feet wide and carries an average of
412
vehicles a day.
