PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements in Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning lane closures on several state highways next week in Montgomery, Bucks and Chester counties for gas line installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The lane closures will be in place Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the following locations:
  • Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Union Meeting Road and Valley Road in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County;
  • Route 663 (Charlotte Street) between Nightingale Street and East Street in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County;
  • Yerkes Road between Landis Mill Road and Fairhill Drive in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County;
  • Philmont Avenue between Hillside Road and Byberry Road in Lower Moreland Township, Montgomery County; and
  • State Road between Station Avenue and Gravel Pike in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.
In addition, lane closures with flagging will occur on Old Eagle School Road between Meadowbrook Road and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, on Tuesday, April 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
