Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on the U.S. 30 east exit ramp
to
U.S. 202 north and on U.S. 202 in East Whiteland Township, Chester County,
for
guide rail installation and concrete barrier removal, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.

The U.S. 30 east off-ramp to U.S. 202 north will be restricted to one lane
on
Monday, October 10, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and from 8:00 PM Monday,
October
10, to 5 :00 AM Tuesday, October 11.

U.S. 202 north and south will be reduced from three lanes to two between
the
U.S. 30 and Route 401 interchanges from 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, to
5:00 AM
Wednesday, October 12.

The operations are part of the recently completed $63.3 million project to
widen and reconstruct 2.5 miles of the expressway from north of Route 401
to
U.S. 30, and to rebuild and improve the Route 401 Interchange. PennDOT
opened
this newly expanded section of U.S. 202 to six lanes on August 3, 2016.

Allan A. Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor.

The contractor's schedule is weather dependent, and motorists are advised
to
allow additional time for travel and use extra care when driving through
the
work zone.
