The operations are part of the recently completed $63.3 million project to
widen and reconstruct 2.5 miles of the expressway from north of Route 401
to
U.S. 30, and to rebuild and improve the Route 401 Interchange. PennDOT
opened
this newly expanded section of U.S. 202 to six lanes on August 3, 2016.
Allan A. Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor.
The contractor's schedule is weather dependent, and motorists are advised
to
allow additional time for travel and use extra care when driving through
the
work zone.
