Nighttime Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Repair and Resurfacing
Operations in Delaware County

9/1/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

Nighttime lane restrictions are scheduled next week on several state
highways
as part of an improvement project to repair and resurface 18 miles of state

highway in Delaware County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 6:00 PM to 6:00

Road
between Turner Road and Baltimore Pike in Nether Providence and Springfield

townships, for milling, base repair and paving;
• Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 6:00 PM to 6:00
AM,
lane restrictions are scheduled on Lungren Road/ Parkmount Road/Glen Riddle

Road between Lenni Road and Route 352 (New Middletown Road) in Middletown
Township, for paving;
• Wednesday, September 6, through Friday, September 8, from 6:00 PM to 6:00

lane
restrictions are scheduled on Brookhaven Road between Route 352 (Edgmont

Rose
Valley and Brookhaven boroughs, for base repair and paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

areas because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's
schedule is dependent on the weather.

Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract
include:

• Knowlton Road between Route 452 (Pennell Road) and Route 352 (New
Middletown
Road) in Aston and Middletown townships;
• Gradyville Road between Route 352 (Middletown Road) and Crum Creek Bridge
in
Edgmont Township;
• Providence Road between Route 252 (Palmers Mill Road) and the Chester
County
line in Upper Providence and Edgmont townships;
• Sweetwater Road between Creek Road and Valley Road in Thornbury and
Edgmont
townships; and
• Brinton Lake Road between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Dilworthtown Road
in
Concord and Thornbury townships.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in mid-November.

Allan A. Myers, LP, of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor
on the $4,098,777 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
