Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways for Tree Removal
Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Daytime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state
highways
in the Philadelphia region, for tree removal operations, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Tuesday, September 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between 66th Street and 71st Street in
Lower
Merion Township, Montgomery County;
• Tuesday, September 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging are scheduled on Joshua Road between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and
Militia Hill Road in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County;
• Tuesday, September 5, through Thursday, September 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 232 (Windy Bush
Road) at
Aquetong Road in Solebury Township, Bucks County;
• Tuesday, September 5, through Thursday, September 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent right lane closures are scheduled on westbound U.S. 30 between
the
Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and U.S. 322 interchanges in West Whiteland and
East
Caln townships, Chester County;
• Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 113 (Kimberton
Road/Pike
Springs Road) between Pikeland Road and Hares Hill Road in West Pikeland
and
East Pikeland townships, Chester County;
• Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Delchester Road between
Stackhouse Mill Road and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Edgmont Township,
Delaware County; and
• Wednesday, September 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on northbound U.S. 202 (DeKalb Pike) between School House Lane
and
Sumneytown Pike in Lower Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
