Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Eagle Road/Glendale Road for
Resurfacing in Delaware County
10/26/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA
Lane restrictions are scheduled in both directions on Eagle Road/Glendale
Road
between Springfield Road and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Springfield,
Haverford and Marple townships, on Sunday, October 29, through Friday,
November
3, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, for milling and paving as part of an
improvement
project to repair and resurface 10 miles of state highway in Delaware
County,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
zone
because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule
is
dependent on the weather.
Additional state highway scheduled for resurfacing under this contract
include:
• Wayne Avenue from Conestoga Road to just north of Woodsworth Court in
Radnor
Township.
State highways completed under this resurfacing project include:
• Springfield Road between U.S. 13 (MacDade Boulevard) and Netherwood
Drive/Colonial Park Drive in Aldan, Clifton Heights and Collingdale
boroughs,
and Springfield and Upper Darby townships;
• Amosland Road/Holmes Road between U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) and MacDade
Boulevard in Norwood Borough and Ridley Township;
• Ridley Creek Road between Bishop Hollow Road/Barren Road and U.S. 1
(Baltimore Pike) in Upper Providence Township; and
• Westtown Road from South Concord Road/Westtown Road to just north of
Meadowcroft Road in Thornbury Township.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor on the $2,570,904 project, which is financed with 100 percent
state
funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
