Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways for Tree Removal
Operations in Chester and Delaware Counties

Daytime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state
highways
for tree removal operations in Chester and Delaware counties, the
Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, October 23, and Tuesday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Westbourne Road between Route
926
(Street Road) and Barnview Lane in Westtown Township, Chester County;
• Monday, October 23, and Tuesday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a
right
lane closure is scheduled on the ramp from northbound Interstate 95 to
northbound I-476 in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
• Monday, October 23, and Tuesday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a
right
lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Route 452 (Market
Street) and U.S. 322 (Commodore Barry Bridge) interchanges in the City of
Chester, Delaware County;
• Monday, October 23, and Tuesday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a
right
lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 1 (Media Bypass) between Route 352
(Middletown Road) and Route 252 (Providence Road) in Upper Providence
Township,
Delaware County;
• Monday, October 23, and Tuesday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a
right
lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-476 between the Media/Swarthmore
and
U.S.1 interchanges in Upper Providence Township, Delaware County;
• Monday, October 23, through Friday, October 27, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM,
periodic left lane closures are scheduled on westbound U.S. 30 between
Route
340 and Boyds Corner Stockpile in Caln, Valley, and Sadsbury townships,
Chester
County;
• Monday, October 23, through Friday, October 27, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
periodic left lane closures are scheduled on eastbound U.S. 30 between
Route
340 and Boyds Corner Stockpile in Caln, Valley, and Sadsbury townships,
Chester
County;
• Tuesday, October 24, through Thursday, October 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM, a
right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-476 between the U.S. 30 and
Route 3 (West Chester Pike) interchanges in Haverford Township, Delaware
County; and
• Wednesday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging are scheduled on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between Mill Lane and
Valley Creek Road in East Whiteland Township, Chester County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
