Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways for Maintenance
Operations in Chester and Montgomery Counties

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways for
maintenance operations in Chester and Montgomery counties, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Sunday, October 22, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Bridge Road is scheduled to
close between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in
Perkiomen
and Skippack townships, Montgomery County, for base repairs. During
construction, Bridge Road motorists will be detoured over Route 29 (Gravel
Pike) to Route 73 (Skippack Pike);
• Monday, October 23, through Wednesday, October 25, from 8:30 AM to 3:00
PM,
lane restrictions are scheduled on Strasburg Road between Route 372 (Valley
Road) and Route 82 (Doe Run Road) in East Fallowfield Township, Chester
County,
for crack sealing;
• Tuesday, October 24, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Greenwood Avenue is
scheduled
to close between Wartman Road and Ridge Pike/Main Street in Perkiomen and
Upper
Providence townships, Montgomery County, for base repairs. During
construction,
Greenwood Avenue motorists will be detoured over Wartman Road, Township
Line
Road, and Ridge Pike/Main Street;
• Wednesday, October 25, and Thursday, October 26, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM,
Dorlan Mill Road is scheduled to close between Route 282 (Wallace Avenue)
and
Shelmire Road in Upper Uwchaln Township, Chester County, for pipe
replacement.
During construction Dorlan Mill Road motorists will be detoured over
Shelmire
Road, Dowlin Forge Road, and Wallace Avenue; and
• Thursday, October 26, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Neiffer Road is scheduled
to
close between Ridge Pike and Game Farm Road in Limerick Township,
Montgomery
County, for base repairs. During construction Neiffer Road motorists will
be
detoured over Ridge Pike, Limerick Road, Pheasant Road, and Game Farm Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are
advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All
scheduled activities are weather dependent.
