PECO to Restrict Newtown Road and Radnor-Chester Road Weekdays for Utility Improvements in Radnor Township
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning a weekday road closure on Newtown Road and overnight lane restrictions on Radnor-Chester Road in Radnor Township, Delaware County, for gas main installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, January 28, through Thursday, February 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a road closure is scheduled on Newtown Road between Radnor-Chester Road and Darby-Paoli Road. During the closure motorists will be directed to use Darby-Paoli Road, Bryn Mawr Avenue and Sproul Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone; and
- Monday, February 4, through Thursday, February 28, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, a lane restriction is scheduled in both directions on Radnor-Chester Road between Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Newtown Road.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
