Route 100, I-676 Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Attenuator Repair in the Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter lane closures next week on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) in Chester and Montgomery counties and Interstate 676 in Philadelphia, for attenuator repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Wednesday, January 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) between Shoemaker Road and U.S. 422 in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County and North Coventry Township, Chester County; and
  • Thursday, January 10, from 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM, the center lane is scheduled to close on westbound I-676 at the Interstate 76 interchange in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

The attenuator work is part of a $3.5 million project to repair attenuators across the Philadelphia region.

Long Fence Company, Inc. of Phoenixville, Chester County, is the general contractor on the project which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
