Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in Montgomery and Bucks Counties - 15-Minute Closure scheduled on I-76 East
King of Prussia, PA – A 15-minute traffic stoppage is scheduled Monday, January 7, at 9:00 AM, on eastbound Interstate 76 in Montgomery County, and lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on additional state highways next week, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Montgomery and Bucks counties for tree trimming operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
On Monday, January 7, a 15-minute closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 between the Gladwyne Interchange and Belmont Avenue/Green Lane Interchange in Lower Merion Township at 9:00 AM.
The work schedule for the additional state highways is:
- Monday, January 7, Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) between Levering Mill Road and West Amherst Road in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County;
- Monday, January 7 and Tuesday, January 8, Skippack Pike between Evansburg Road and Voit Drive in Skippack Township, Montgomery County;
- Monday, January 7, through Friday, January 11, Fretz Valley Road between Deer Run Road and Rolling Hills Road in Bedminster Township, Bucks County; and
- Wednesday, January 9, Manatawny Street between Belmont Road and Upland Street in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur during these tree removal operations. These operations are weather dependent.
