Daytime and Nighttime Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Resurfacing
in Bucks County

Daytime and nighttime lane restrictions are scheduled on Gibson
Road/Bristol
Road between Bensalem Boulevard and Overland Road in Bensalem Township, on
Monday, June 26, through Wednesday, June 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and
7:00
PM to 5:00 AM, for milling and paving operations as part of a $3.2 million
project to resurface 10 miles of state highway in Bucks County, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
zone
because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule
is
dependent on the weather.

The additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract

include:

• Route 532 (Buck Road) between Jay Street/Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike) and
Rocksville Road in Lower Southampton and Northampton townships;
• Marienstein Road/Bridgeton Hill Road between Route 611 (Easton Road) and
Route 32 (River Road) in Nockamixon and Bridgeton townships; and
• Oxford Valley Road/Reading Avenue between Edgewood Road and Main Street
in
Lower Makefield Township and Yardley Borough.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT will mill the existing roadway
surface
and repave the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal
the
roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in late October.

James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia, PA is the general contractor on
the
$3,191,960 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act
89,
Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
