I-95, I-76 and Route 309 Lane Restrictions Next Week for Bridge Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week for bridge inspections on
Interstate 95 and Interstate 76 in Philadelphia, and Route 309 in Bucks
County,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, June 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close on northbound Interstate 95 between the Enterprise Avenue/Island
Avenue
and Broad Street (Route 611) interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Monday, June 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled to
close
on southbound I-95 between the Broad Street (Route 611) and Enterprise
Avenue/Island Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Monday, June 26, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to

close on northbound 34th Street between Grays Ferry Avenue and University
Avenue in Philadelphia;
• Monday, June 26, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the left lane is schedule to
close
on northbound Route 309 at the Lawn Avenue Interchange in West Rockhill
Township, Bucks County;
• Monday, June 26, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the left lane is schedule to
close
on southbound Route 309 at the Lawn Avenue Interchange in West Rockhill
Township, Bucks County;
• Tuesday, June 27, through Thursday, June 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the

right lane is scheduled to close on northbound I-95 between the Enterprise
Avenue/Island Avenue and Broad Street (Route 611) interchanges in
Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, June 27, from 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM the next morning, the right

lane is scheduled to close on westbound Interstate 76 between the South
Street
and Interstate 676 interchanges in Philadelphia; and
• Wednesday, June 28, from 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM the next morning, the
right
lane is scheduled to close on eastbound I-76 between the I-676 and and
South
Street interchanges in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur. The schedules are dependent on the weather.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
