Nighttime Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Route 452 in Delaware
County for Resurfacing
6/9/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA
Nighttime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on two sections of
Route
452 (Market Street/Pennell Road) for resurfacing operations as part of a
$1.5
million project to repair and resurface five miles of state highway in
Delaware
County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced
today.
The work schedule is:
• Sunday, June 11, through Thursday, June 15, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 452 (Market Street) between 10th Street
and
Meetinghouse Road in Marcus Hook Borough and Lower Chichester and Upper
Chichester townships, for paving; and
• Sunday, June 11, through Thursday, June 15, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 452 (Pennell Road) between Jessica Way
and
Route 352 (Middletown Road) in Middletown and Aston townships, for paving.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work
zones because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's
schedule is dependent on the weather.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT will mill the existing roadway
surface
and repave the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal
the
roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
Allan A. Myers, LP, of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor
on the $1,577,777 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds
from
Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
