PECO to Close Ashbourne Road Weekdays in Cheltenham Township for Gas Main

PECO Energy is scheduled to close Ashbourne Road weekdays between Juniper
Avenue and Route 611 (Old York Road) in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery
County,
starting Monday, September 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for gas main
installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today
announced. The weekday closure of Ashbourne Road will be in effect through
Friday, September 23.
During construction, Ashbourne Road through traffic will be detoured over
Route
611 (Old York Road), Cheltenham Avenue and Washington Lane. Motorists are
advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
PECO Energy will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy
Permit.
