PennDOT to Resurface Five State Highways in Philadelphia Region

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
lane restrictions are scheduled next week on five state highways in the
Philadelphia region for the milling and resurfacing.

Weather permitting, the resurfacing schedule is:

In addition:

• On Sunday, August 14, through Thursday, August 18, from 7:00 PM to 5:00
AM,
lane closures are scheduled on Route 452 (Pennell Road) between Dutton Mil
Road
and Jessica Way in Aston Township, Delaware County, for resurfacing;
• On Sunday, August 14, through Thursday, August 18, from 6:00 PM to 6:00
AM,
lane closures are scheduled on Ridley Avenue between Chester Pike and
Lincoln
Avenue in Ridley Park and Prospect Park boroughs, Delaware County, for
resurfacing;
• On Monday, August 15, through Friday, August 19, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM,

lane closures are scheduled on Haverford Avenue between U.S. 1 (City
Avenue)
and Lancaster Avenue in Philadelphia, for the adjustment of manholes and
drainage inlets;
• On Tuesday, August 16, through Thursday, August 18, from 8:00 PM to 5:00
AM,
lane closures are scheduled on McDade Boulevard between Cooke Avenue and
Chester Pike, in Collingdale and Glenolden boroughs, Delaware County, for
milling;
• On Monday, August 15 through Sunday, August 21, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 and
from
6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, lane closures are scheduled on Kelly Drive between 25th

Street and Hunting Park Avenue in Philadelphia for milling and resurfacing;

• On Wednesday, August 17 through Friday, August 19, from 7:00 PM to 5:00
AM,
lane closures are scheduled on Haverford Avenue between U.S. 1 (City
Avenue)
and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in Philadelphia, for milling and
resurfacing.

These five state highways are being repaired and resurfaced under four
separate
resurfacing contracts worth $9 million. These contracts are financed with
100
percent state funds through Act 89, Pennsylvania's transportation plan.
