PECO to Restrict, Then Close Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) Weekdays for Utility Improvement in Lower Merion Township
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning lane restrictions with flagging on Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) between Spring Mill Road and Front Street in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, on Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for utility installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. Following the weekday lane restriction, this portion of Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) will be closed weekdays, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, through mid-November.
During the closure, Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) motorists will be directed to use Spring Mill Road, Old Gulph Road and Matsonford Road.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work zone because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. For a list of all utility work and other construction projects impacting state-owned highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, visit our District 6 Traffic Bulletin.
