PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements in Across Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday lane closures on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
Bucks County
- Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 179 (Bridge Street) at Old York Road in New Hope Borough, for road restoration.
Chester County
- Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 282 (Creek Road) between Dowling Forge Road and Hawk Hill Road in East Brandywine Township, for utility maintenance;
- Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 12, from 9:00 Am to 3:00 PM, on Route 896 (Newark Road) between Mary Lane and Church Road in New London Township, for utility replacement; and
- Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) between Pinebrook Circle and Guthriesville Road in East Brandywine Township, for utility restoration.
Delaware County
- Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Lynn Boulevard and U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) in Upper Darby Township, for gas main replacement.
Montgomery County
- Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) between Quarry Road and Ruth Road in Lower Salford Township, for aerial work.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
