Several State Highways Restricted for Bridge Inspections in Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties
King of Prussia PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on several state highways in Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Work on these inspections will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training.
The work schedule is:
Chester County
• Thursday, May 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lanes closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Parkersville Road in Pennsbury Township, Chester County and Creek Road in Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County; and
• Monday, June 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 52 (Lenape Road) between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Route 926 (Street Road) in Kennett Township.
Montgomery County
• Friday, May 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Armand Hammer Boulevard between Industrial Highway and Medical Drive in Lower Pottsgrove Township.
Philadelphia
• Monday, May 18, alternating lane closures are scheduled on State Road between Ashburner Street and Rhawn Street;
• Tuesday, May 19, and Wednesday, May 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures scheduled on Rhawn Street between Lexington Avenue and Holmehurst Avenue;
• Wednesday, May 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to northbound I-95;
• Thursday, May 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to southbound I-95; and
• Thursday, May 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Island Avenue and Broad Street interchanges.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns may occur. All schedule activities are weather dependent.
