Norfolk Southern Railroad to Close Flourtown Road in Whitemarsh Township
for Bridge Maintenance

Norfolk Southern Railroad is planning to close Flourtown Road between
Butler
Pike and Woodbine Way in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, beginning
Tuesday, June 14, for railroad bridge maintenance, the Pennsylvania
Department
of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced. The closure will be in effect
through early August.

During construction, motorists traveling on Flourtown Road will be detoured

over Joshua Road, Germantown Pike and Butler Pike. Local access will be
maintained up to the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
The
work schedule is contingent on the weather.

Norfolk Southern Railroad will complete the project under a PennDOT Highway

Occupancy Permit.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides

to more than 770 traffic cameras.
