Hello, this Thomas Micozzie, Mayor of Upper Darby Township with a few important summer facts. The first is a safety message about your vacation. Please keep in mind that you should not post on any social media outlets that you are going on vacation. The Upper Darby Police offer a program whereby if you give them notice of your vacation they will so advise the patrol officers of this fact. Please visit the Upper Darby Police department web site www.udpd.org, on the left side is a box Temporary vacant home complete the form and click submit.
As the summer heat become a reality please look after your elderly neighbors and pets, if concerned please dial 911.
A few additional summer facts --- I will be hold two town hall meetings next week the first is Monday June 27 at Beverly Hill Middle school and the second is Thursday June 30 at Drexel Hill Middle School. Both meetings start at 6:45 PM.
And the last important note is our communities' annual Fireworks program scheduled for Sunday July 3 at the Upper Darby High School Memorial Field. The gates open at 7:00 PM, program starts at 7:30 PM.
