Travel Restrictions Scheduled on I-76, I-95, I-676 in Philadelphia and U.S.
422 in Chester County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
travel restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 76, Interstate 95 and
Interstate 676 in Philadelphia, and U.S. 422 in Chester County, for
sweeping,
deck repair and line painting operations.

The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:

•Saturday, June 25, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to

close on westbound I-76 between Route 291 (Penrose Avenue) and U.S. 1 (City

Avenue) in Philadelphia, for sweeping;

•Saturday, June 25, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled to
close on northbound I-95 between the Philadelphia city line and Allegheny
Avenue in Philadelphia, for sweeping;

•Saturday, June 25, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled on
eastbound and westbound U.S. 422 between the Route 23 (Valley Forge Road)
Interchange and the Berks County line in Chester County, for line painting;

•Tuesday, June 28, and Tuesday, July 5, from 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM, the ramp
from
eastbound I-76 to 30th Street in Philadelphia is scheduled to close for
deck
repair. During the overnight closure, eastbound I-76 motorists will be
directed exit at South Street exit, turn right on South Street, right on
33rd
Street and right on Market Street to reach 30th Street; and

•Tuesday, June 28, and Tuesday, July 5, from 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM, the ramp
from
I-676 west to 30th Street in Philadelphia is scheduled to close for deck
repair. During the overnight closure, westbound I-676 motorists will be
directed to take the ramp to westbound I-76, and then exit at Girard
Avenue,
take the ramp to I-76 east, continue to the South Street exit, turn right
on
South Street, right on 33rd Street and right on Market Street to reach 30th

Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

zones.
