Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways in Montgomery
County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
travel restrictions are scheduled on several state highways in Montgomery
County, for milling, sweeping and pipe replacement operations.
The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:
• Sunday, September 25, and Monday, September 26, from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM,
Route 463 (Horsham Road) is scheduled to close between Hartman Road and
Lower
State Road in Horsham Township, for milling. During construction, Route 463
(Horsham Road) motorists will be detoured over Hartman Road, Route 309,
Route
63 (Welsh Road) and Lower State Road;
• Monday, September 26, and Tuesday, September 27, from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM,
Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) is scheduled to close between Route 463 (Horsham
Road) and County Line Road in Horsham Township, for milling. During
construction, Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) motorists will be detoured over
Route
463 (Horsham Road), Kenas Road and County Line Road;
• Monday, September 26, through Friday, September 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
the left lane is scheduled to close on westbound U.S. 422 between Evergreen
Road and Grosstown Road in Pottstown Borough, for sweeping;
• Monday, September 26, through Thursday, September 29, from 9:00 AM to
3:00
PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on northbound and southbound Route 309
between Cheltenham Avenue and Route 63 (Welsh Road) in Cheltenham,
Springfield,
Upper Dublin and Lower Gwynedd townships, for sweeping;
• Tuesday, September 27, and Wednesday, September 28, from 7:00 PM to 4:00
AM,
Norristown Road is scheduled to close between Bethlehem Pike and Tennis
Avenue
in Lower Gwynedd Township, for milling. During construction, Norristown
Road
motorists will be detoured over Sumneytown Pike, Bethlehem Pike and Tennis
Avenue;
• Wednesday, September 28, and Thursday, September 29, from 7:00 PM to 4:00
AM,
Edge Hill Road is scheduled to close between Moreland Road and Terwood Road
in
Upper Moreland Township, for milling. During construction, Edge Hill Road
motorists will be detoured over Moreland Road, Davisville Road and Terwood
Road;
• Thursday, September 29, and Friday, September 30, from 7:00 PM to 4:00
AM,
Washington Lane is scheduled to close between Herbert Road and Terwood Road
in
Lower Moreland Township, for milling. During construction, Washington Lane
motorists will be detoured over Herbert Road, Sharon Road, George Road,
Valley
Road and Terwood Road; and
• Saturday, October 1, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Pen-Ambler Road is
scheduled to
close between Spring Garden Street and Penllyn Blue Bell Pike in Lower
Gwynedd
Township, for pipe replacement. During construction, Pen-Ambler Road
motorists
will be detoured over Spring Garden Street, Morris Road and Penllyn Blue
Bell
Pike.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work
zones.
