Travel Restrictions Scheduled for Maintenance Operations in Philadelphia,
Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today
that
travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties, for maintenance
operations.
The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:
• Monday, March 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close on westbound Interstate 676 between the Ben Franklin Parkway and
Interstate 76 interchanges in Philadelphia, for drainage operations;
• Monday, March 13, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled on
Ashbourne Road between West Avenue and Spring Avenue in Cheltenham
Township,
Montgomery County, for tree removal operations. Traffic will be controlled
by
flagging;
• Monday, March 13, through Thursday, March 16, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 30 Bypass between Route 82 (Manor Road)
and
Reeceville Road in Valley and Caln townships, Chester County, for median
stabilization;
• Monday, March 13, through Friday, March 17, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between U.S. 202
and
Providence Road in West Goshen, East Goshen, Westtown and Willistown
townships,
Chester County, for crack sealing;
• Monday, March 13, through Friday, March 17, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Bryn Mawr Avenue between Malin Road and Hunt
Road
in Newtown and Radnor townships, Delaware County, for tree removal
operations.
Traffic will be controlled by flagging;
• Wednesday, March 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled
to
close on the ramp from eastbound I-76 to University Avenue in Philadelphia,
for
tree removal operations;
• Wednesday, March 15, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled
on Spring Mill Road between Farview Road and Eagle Farm Road in Lower
Merion
Township, Montgomery County, for tree removal operations; Traffic will be
controlled by flagging; and
• Wednesday, March 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on Wynnewood Road between Spring Avenue and Athens Avenue in Lower
Merion
Township, Montgomery County, for tree removal operations.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work
zones.
