I-76, I-476 and I-95 Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Large Sign
Maintenance in Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties

Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways in
Montgomery
and Philadelphia counties, including Interstate 95, Interstate 76 and
Interstate 476, for large sign maintenance, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, February 26, through Friday, March 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and
9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane closures are scheduled on northbound U.S. 202
between
Gulph Road and the westbound U.S. 422 Interchange in Upper Merion Township,
Montgomery County;
• Monday, February 26, through Friday, March 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and
9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 76 between
the
Pennsylvania Turnpike and U.S. 202 interchanges in Upper Merion Township,
Montgomery County;
• Monday, February 26, through Friday, March 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
closures are scheduled on Interstate 476 between the Plymouth Road
Interchange
and U.S. 30 in Plymouth and Lower Merion townships, Montgomery County;
• Monday, February 26, through Friday, March 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
closures are scheduled on Route 363 (Trooper Road) between I-476 and Route
320
in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County;
• Monday, February 26, through Friday, March 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
closures are scheduled on Route 363 (Trooper Road) between U.S. 422 and
Audubon
Road in West Norriton Township, Montgomery County;
• Monday, February 26, through Friday, March 2, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
lane
closures are scheduled on northbound Interstate 95 between the Route 611
(Broad
Street) and Interstate 76 East/Packer Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia;
and
• Monday, February 26, through Friday, March 2, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
lane
closures are scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Columbus
Boulevard/Washington Avenue and I-76 interchanges in Philadelphia.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is replacing and repairing large
sign
structures, including overhead signs throughout Bucks, Chester, Delaware,
Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in August 2019.
J. D. Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, Chester County is the general contractor on
the
$2,796,024 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
