PECO to Restrict Southbound U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) and State Road for
Utility Improvements in Delaware County

PECO is planning travel restrictions on southbound U.S. 1 (Township Line
Road)
and State Road in Haverford and Upper Darby townships, Delaware County, for

utility improvements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT)
announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, February 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled
on
southbound U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) between Darby Road and Hollywood
Avenue
in Haverford Township, for electric line work; and
• Monday, February 26, through late March, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled weekdays on State Road at
Alexander
Avenue in Upper Darby Township, for gas main installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
