I-76 Travel Restrictions Next Week in Montgomery County and Philadelphia
for Sign Structure and Bridge Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 76 in Montgomery County and
Philadelphia this weekend and next week for overhead sign structure and
bridge
inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today
announced.
Weather permitting, the overhead sign inspection schedule is:
• On Saturday, June 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed
on Interstate 76 west between Belmont Avenue and U.S. 202 (DeKalb Pike)
interchanges in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, for overhead sign
structure inspection:
• From 9:00 PM, Monday, June 6, to 1:00 AM, Tuesday, June 7, the right land
will be closed on I-76 east between Interstate 676 and South Street for a
bridge inspection in Philadelphia;
• From 9:00 PM, Tuesday, June 7, to 1:00 AM, Wednesday, June 8, the left
land
will be closed on I-76 east between Interstate 676 and South Street for a
bridge inspection in Philadelphia;
• On Tuesday, June 7, from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM, the left lane will be closed
on
I-76 west between South Street and I-676 for a bridge inspection in
Philadelphia; and
• On Wednesday, June 8, from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM, the right lane will be
closed
on I-76 west between South Street and I-676 for a bridge inspection in
Philadelphia
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges and sign
structures at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety
and
overall condition of the structures.

visiting

to more than 770 traffic cameras.
