I-95 Night Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week at Cottman Avenue
Interchange

Nighttime travel restrictions are scheduled in Philadelphia next week on
Interstate 95 at the Cottman Avenue Interchange and on Aramingo Avenue at
the
I-95/Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange, the Pennsylvania
Department
of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.

This work is associated with construction underway to rebuild the Cottman
Avenue (Route 73) Interchange and reconstruct and widen more than a mile of

I-95 and to improve the ramp system at the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo
Avenue
Interchange.

The work schedule is:

•On Tuesday, May 31, through Saturday, June 4, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, I-95 north will be reduced periodically from three lanes
to
two between the Bridge Street and Cottman Avenue (Route 73) interchanges
for
construction;

•On Tuesday, May 31, through Saturday, June 4, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, the I-95 north off-ramp to Cottman Avenue (Route 73)
will be
closed for overhead bridge construction. Motorists will be detoured north
on
I-95 to the exit at the Academy Road Interchange, then right on Linden
Avenue,
and right on State Road to Cottman Avenue (Route 73); and

•On Tuesday, May 31, through Saturday, June 4, the Princeton Avenue on-ramp
to
I-95 north will be closed from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for

overhead bridge construction. Motorists will be detoured north on State
Road,
then left on Linden Avenue, then right on the ramp to I-95 north at the
Academy
Road Interchange.

On Aramingo Avenue, motorists will encounter lane closures in each
direction
and intermittent traffic stoppages of up to 15 minutes when traveling at
the
I-95 Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange from 8:00 PM Friday,
June 3,
to 5:00 AM Saturday, June 4, for beam setting on an overhead ramp.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work zones.
All
scheduled activities are weather dependent.
