Route 132 (Street Road) Restrictions in Bucks County for Resurfacing
5/12/2016-KING OF PRUSSIA
Lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 132 (Street Road) between
Willopenn
Drive and Hoover Avenue in Upper Southampton and Lower Southampton
townships,
Bucks County, beginning Tuesday, May 17, for resurfacing operations, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today. Travelers
can
expect lane closures Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and
Sundays through Fridays from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM through mid-June.
Route 132 (Street Road) motorists are advised to use extra care when
driving
through the work zone and to allow additional time for travel because
slowdowns
will occur.
This work is part of a $5 million project to repair and resurface
deteriorated
areas of Route 132 (Street Road) in Lower Southampton, Upper Southampton,
Warminster and Warrington townships. PennDOT's contractor will also install
ADA
curb ramps, new pavement markings, centerline rumble strips; and upgrade
pedestrian buttons at various signalized intersections.
This Route 132 (Street Road) pavement improvement project is funded by Act
89,
Pennsylvania's transportation plan.
J.D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Pa. is the general contractor on the
$5,071,539
project financed with 100 percent state funds.
